GRADUATION APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Please know that it is the student's responsibility to be aware of the degree and graduation requirements in order to fulfill academic progress. An Academic Advisor is assigned to each student to assist in providing guidance on planning a timely graduation. Nonetheless, it is the definitive responsibility of the student to understand and complete all degree requirements.
Graduation Application Procedures:
- Make an appointment with your Academic Advisor during the semester PRIOR to the one in which you plan to graduate.
- The Graduation Application must be completed on https://www.alasu.edu.

- The Graduation Application fee of $150 must be paid through the cashier’s office.
- The receipt number is required to submit your application
Applications will be forwarded to College Advisor.
- Please be sure that you have declared your major in your college.
- Your college/major department will contact you regarding your application to discuss your curriculum requirements after performing the initial audit.
- Applications will be submitted to The Office of Records and Registration for final audit.
- Approximately four weeks prior to graduation, review your “TO DO LIST” on your Student
Center page:
- The “TO DO LIST” will indicate the following items to be cleared prior to graduation:
- FINANCIAL AID EXIT COUNSELING
- You must complete your “EXIT COUNSELING” by going to www.studentaid.gov
- STUDENT ACCOUNTS CLEARANCE
- You must clear all outstanding balances with Student Account.
- STUDENT RECORDS CLEARANCE
- You must complete all requirements for your degree.
- You will not need to contact the Office of Records and Registration. Your clearance will be completed when final grades have been posted.
- FINANCIAL AID EXIT COUNSELING
- The “TO DO LIST” will indicate the following items to be cleared prior to graduation:
The retention of original diplomas will be up to one year after graduation.
